Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Import Docs Reveal 5-Inch Screen

Samsung's next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6, is highly expected to be officially unveiled by the company during its turn at the upcoming MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Several leaks and rumors have attempted to shed some light on the purported next-gen smartphone but this recent (still unconfirmed) news could offer a concrete glimpse of what the S5 successor would look like.

A report from GSMArena.com cited "the latest evidence" from an Indian import tracking website called Zauba.

The site, as reported, apparently listed two units of the alleged Samsung device which have entered the country for "testing and evaluation purposes."

As detailed, the units carry the model number SM-G920A and has 5-inch display. Its origin country is South Korea and arrived at the Delhi Air Cargo on January 30, 2015.

If the recently-leaked display spec info be taken as a fact, then this means that the next Galaxy S series bearer would be 0.1 inch smaller than its predecessor. According to GSMArena, this would be the first time that the South Korean tech company will opt for a smaller display on its flagship.

Several other reports already suggested that the new phone could feature a QHD resolution.

Furthermore, Zauba indicated in the manifest that the smartphone's import price is $405 (rough conversion from INR 25,169).

Meanwhile, SamMobile.com also published in their report the "first real look" of the Galaxy S6.

As what they have described of the leaked image, the unit "shows curved edges" which appears to be "similar to that of the Apple iPhone 6."

The similarity also pointed out to the "slightly taller and circular home button." There's also the headphone jack and the microUSB port which are positioned at the bottom.

The picture of the prototype design also suggested that the sensors and the secondary camera "seems to moved from the right hand side of the earpiece to the left."

As iterated by both websites, these pieces of information should be taken with a grain of salt until official announcements will be made at the MWC 2015.
