Samsung Galaxy S7 Sport News: Device Could Be In Testing Phase

Samsung could be launching a model of the Galaxy S7 series, which will bring several improvements to the product line.

Reports indicated that Samsung's latest device was spotted in an Indian import and export website called Zauba. In the site, the device was called Samsung SM-G880, which was said to just be for R&D Purpose and Evaluations. This means that the phone is most likely in the process of being tested or certified.

It also revealed that the device will be priced around $477 USD, which makes it one of the mid-range smart phones of Samsung. Nevertheless, the device is expected to cater to those looking for a durable and affordable device.

While the website did not reveal much else about the device, there are speculations that the upcoming phone will be the model to follow the previously released Galaxy S5 sport, which also used the G870 model. Because of this, there are rumors that the posted device will be the new Galaxy S7 Sport.

Meanwhile, a Vietnamese site called SamsungVN posted some leaked photos of the device. The photos showed the device boasting a protective case with a camoflauge themes colors for the back side of the phone.

In comparison to the Samsung S6, the device is a lot bulkier. However, it did include a rubberized texture that could provide a good grip for the users. The device showed a similar design to the previously released Galaxy S6 Sport, which included water and dust proofing.

There are speculations that the device will use the Exynos 8890 processor. It will also have 4GB RAM as well as a 12 megapixel camera. Rumors state that the device will also have an improved battery life, compared to the previous models.

However, these details have yet to be confirmed.
