Samsung Introduces Successor To Exhibit 4G Smartphone
T-Mobile will launch the Samsung Exhibit II 4G smartphone Oct. 27 at Wal-Mart stores.
The upgraded smartphone goes on sale tomorrow and it will be offered with no contract.
The Exhibit II 4G, made available by T-Mobile as a United States exclusive, will retail for $200 without a contract. It will also be available for $30, after a $50 mail in rebate, with a two-year service agreement.

More availability for Samsung's new smartphone will start on Nov. 2 on T-Mobile's website. Retail store and other electronics dealers will also have the smartphone on Nov. 2.
Samsung's successor to the Exhibit 4G comes with a host of new specifications and features. The display size will increase to 3.7-inches.
It will sport a WVGA 480 x 800 pixel resolution and 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The smartphone will also feature a 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. Reports indicate that the pre-loaded operating system will be Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Some of the services offered to customers through the smartphone are T-Mobile TV and the Samsung Media Hub. Customers can use these applications to buy, rent and view selected television shows or movies.
Jessica Dolcourt, a writer for CNet.com, gave her opinion on the smartphone's projected success: "Although it seems a little soon to see the Exhibit's sequel hit store shelves, the original was a likable phone that offered great value for the modest price, and I expect to see more reliability here as well."
Samsung's Exhibit II 4G joins an extensive lineup of smartphone models already offered by the company.
