Samsung Z3 Tizen Phone to Be Unveiled Later This Year, Could Boast 'Decent' Specs

Samsung's very own Tizen OS has been under development for years already, and yet the operating system has not seen the light of day so much with the scarcity of phones that actually run it.

However, it seems like the Korean manufacturer will finally bring a Tizen smartphone that will boast respectable specs.

According to a report by Phone Arena, the Samsung Z3 will succeed the Z1, which is the company's first phone to run the Tizen platform. However, unlike the Z1 that was ultimately a budget device, the Z3 could be a midranger.

Based on the leaked specs in the report, the device will boast a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. That may not be much, but it is definitely better compared to the 840 x 480 resolution of the Samsung Z1.

Other leaked specs include a Spreadtrum SC7730S chipset, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, and 1.5GB of RAM. Other details of the device include an 8GB of built-in memory that can be expanded through the provided microSD card slot, an 8MP primary shooter, a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calls, and an ample 2,700mAh battery.

Though there are no official details yet about the release of the Samsung Z3, speculations have it that the device would be unveiled during the Indian Tizen Developer Summit. A couple of weeks back, the Samsung Z3, which allegedly goes by the model number SM-Z300H was imported to India for testing purposes.
