San Antonio Spurs vs Golden State Warriors takes place in the NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals Game 1 on Monday night as the Spurs look to get off to a good start in what is likely to be a tight series. The game is scheduled to tip off at about 9.50 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

The No. 2 seeded Spurs will be the favorites to win this semifinal series against the No. 6 seeded Warriors, however, this by no means will be a walk in the park for San Antonio.

The regular season series between these two teams was tied with each team winning two of the four games against one another.

Stephen Curry could be an important player tonight as he averaged 28 points per game in the Warriors' wins against Denver in Round 1, but only 17 points per game in his team's losses. So if he can have a good game tonight it would bring the Warriors a long way to taking the game.

Meanwhile the Spurs have had more than a week's rest ahead of this series after coming through their Round 1 series early. That will have been a good chance for the San Antonio roster to take a rest and be completely refreshed for this semifinal series.

Also it has been reported that Spurs forward Boris Diaw is expected to play for the first time since having a synovial cyst removed from his lower spinal cord on April 12.

San Antonio have had an improved defense but it will be given a stern challenge by the Golden State offense, which has averaged a massive 107.1 points per game against the Nuggets.

If the Warriors can win through this semifinal then it would be their first appearance in the conference finals since 1976.
