San Francisco 49ers vs St Louis Rams Live Stream: Watch NFL Monday Night Football Online (ESPN TV Details)

Monday Night Football takes place tonight and will feature a big match up between the San Francisco 49ers and the St Louis Rams. Both teams will be desperate to claim the win on national TV and improve on their lackluster starts to the season so far. The game will start at 8.30 p.m. ET and takes place from the Edward Jones Dome in St Louis, Missouri. The game can be watched on TV on the ESPN network, and online through live stream (details below).

The 49ers come into Week 6 with a winning record, but they will still be slightly disappointed with how they've fared so far, such are the expectations in San Francisco. They come into today's big game on 3-2, knowing that if they can move to 4-2 it will provide a drastically different look on how they've started their season than if they fall to 3-3 tonight.

So the 49ers go on the road with a clear mission at hand; defeat the St Louis Rams at all costs. The Rams have home field advantage but are vulnerable nonetheless; they have won just one game so far this season, coming into today's game on 1-3 and still searching for just their second win.

The Rams lost last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, being well outplayed for much of the opening three quarters. However, they exploded into life in the fourth, piling on 14 unanswered points to show they there is life in the team after all, although ultimately they still came up short in the 28-34 loss.

However, the way they rallied at the end of that game will provide some hope for today's game. They will be massive underdogs against the 49ers, who have won two straight games coming into today's match up, but they will know if they can be right at the top of their game they might just be able to spin the result their way against a 49ers team that has also shown some vulnerability this season too.

The 49ers gained a very good win against a strong Kansas City Chiefs team last week. The game at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara saw the 49ers come out for the fourth quarter 16-17 down, but they managed to finish the stronger with two field goals to claim the win 22-17.

The week before that they managed to claim an impressive win over the Philadelphia Eagles 26-21. Again in that game they started slowly and built their way into the game. It took them shutting out the Eagles completely in the second half while piling on 13 unanswered points for them to win.

Skeptics of the 49ers will point out that those past two wins came at home in California. Tonight they go on the road to St Louis, and that will be a very different prospect and challenge for San Francisco.

Earlier in the season in Week 3 they traveled to Arizona to play the Cardinals, and in that match up the 49ers looked very poor, succumbing to the Cardinals 14-23. That Arizona team is certainly stronger than the St Louis team they will be up against today, but still, a number of weaknesses were exposed in that 49ers' performance, and the Rams will be looking to take advantage of those again tonight.

Monday Night Football will take place between the San Francisco 49ers and the St Louis Rams tonight with a start time of 8.30 p.m. ET. The game will be shown on TV on ESPN but can also be watched via live stream on the ESPN website.
