San Francisco 49ers vs Tennessee Titans is one of four late afternoon starts in Week 7 of the NFL 2013 regular season on Sunday, and the 49ers will be looking to claim a fourth straight win today. The game will start at 4.05 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The 4-2 San Francisco 49ers are second in the NFC West at the moment, and are chasing the 6-1 Seattle Seahawks. However, the division is tight, and they are also just a game up on the St Louis Rams in third, who are 3-3.
The Titans are also in second place in their division. They come into today's game at 3-3, and are chasing the AFC South leaders, the Indianapolis Colts who are 4-2.
Tennessee are coming into this game on the back of two straight defeats, losing last week to the Seattle Seahawks 13-20, and prior to that they fell 17-26 to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Those two defeats have seen them fall back to .500 and they will be desperate to get back on the saddle today and claim a win against a talented 49ers team.
They will be spurred on by the pre-match talk that indicates Jake Locker is expected to return and be ready to play today. If that turns out to be true it will be a big lift for the side. Locker is 69 of 111 for 721 yards and six touchdowns for the season so far.
However, they will have their work cut out today against a very strong 49ers team who are expected to make the postseason and be a serious competitor for the Super Bowl this year.
Over the last three weeks they have destroyed the St Louis Rams 35-11, demolished the Houston Texans 34-3, and last week they claimed a good 32-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals. That has catapulted them from 1-2 to 4-2, and they will want to maintain their intensity and form with another win today.
