San Jose Sharks vs Los Angeles Kings takes place in the Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals Game 7 on Tuesday night with the series deadlocked going into this deciding, winner-takes-all game. Things are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Amazingly this battle has come all the way down to this one final game, with both California teams winning all of their home games so far in the series so far. With the series now tied at 3-3 and the final game taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the challenge for the Sharks will be to break that home-winning streak, and claim the win on the road that will see them clinch this series.
This entire series has been quite low-scoring but has been hugely entertaining. So far the results have been:
Game 1: Sharks 0 at Kings 2
Game 2: Sharks 3 at Kings 4
Game 3: Kings 1 at Sharks 2 (OT)
Game 4: Kings 1 at Sharks 2
Game 5: Sharks 0 at Kings 3
Game 6: Kings 1 at Sharks 2
The huge challenge for the Sharks to win away from home against the Kings is made even bigger when it is revealed that all regular season games between these two sides also went with the home side.
The Kings will of course be hoping that things continue as normal and that they can claim one final home win that would see them snatch the series. However, if they are to do that then they will need to spend more time on the offensive zone and put more pressure on Niemi.
In all three away games of this series the Kings have scored just a single goal, losing each on the road game 1-2, and a single goal will not be enough tonight. However, when they've played at the Staples Center they've managed to do better on the offensive scoring 2, 3, and 4 goals in the three games in front of home fans.
