St. Louis will definitely try to bounce back as they were handily beaten at home in Game 2 and will try to regain home advantage by taking Game 3 in California.

In the first game of the series, it was tight as both teams had things tightly contested throughout the game.

St. Louis scored first at the 15:04 mark of the first period after David Backes' power play goal gave the hosts the advantage.

However, it was short-lived as Tomas Hertl responded only 34 seconds later with his third of the playoffs to level it at 1-1.

In the second period, Jori Lehtera beat the Sharks' defense to score the Blues' second goal and it was ultimately enough as they secured a 2-1 win.

Looking to bounce back after a close defeat, the Sharks had the right attitude heading into Game 2 and they were rewarded only 2:07 into the game with Tommy Wingels scoring.

In the second period, Brent Burns took advantage of a power play to make it 2-0 for the Sharks and they began to take a stronghold of the game.

Struggling for a goal, the Blues made things worse for them as they failed to spot Burns for another power play goal in the third period which essentially finished the game as the Sharks were up 3-0 with less than 10 minutes left.

Dainius Zubrus made it 4-0 with an empty net goal and they are now with so much momentum as they head home.
