Sandra Bullock Adopting Second Baby? 'Most Likely A Girl'

Sandra Bullock is reportedly in the process of adopting a second child and sources claim the actress is hoping for a baby girl.

In 2010 the "Gravity" star, 49, adopted her son Louis Bard, who was still a newborn baby at the time. She is believed to have consulted with her adoption lawyer regarding her desire to adopt a second baby.

"Sandra wants her son to have the same type of upbringing that she enjoyed, and for him to develop a lifelong bond with a sibling," a source told Star magazine. "That is the main reason she's expanding her family."

Bullock initially began her adoption process for Louis, 3, with her now ex-husband, Jesse James, but the pair divorced before the process was finalized. While the Hollywood actress has subsequently been forced to raise her son as a single mom, she reportedly is still ready for baby number two.

"[Louis is] a mama's boy. So Sandra thought he would adjust better to having a little sister than a brother," the source revealed. "This way, as he gets older, he will be the man of the house, looking out for both Sandra and his sister."

Bullock reportedly has the same divorce lawyer as South African-born actress and single mom Charlize Theron. The process is expected to take at least two years.

"She always said the time would come when she'd give Louis a sibling, most likely a little girl," an insider source told OK! magazine.

"She already has the paperwork in progress. She's gone through her usual adoption lawyer, who also helped Charlize Theron. It can take up to two years, but she put the green light on it earlier this year," the source added.

The Academy award-winning actress recently gushed about motherhood while touching on her willingness to expand her family.

"If all of a sudden someone said, 'You have five more kids,' I'd be totally OK with it. I'm having such an amazing time," Bullock told Vogue magazine. "Whatever comes our way, we handle as a family. It's not just me anymore."
