"Today" show anchor Savannah Guthrie is thrilled to be pregnant, especially since she feared she would never get the opportunity. Now, at 42, Guthrie is happier than ever with new husband Michael Feldman and a new bundle of joy on the way.

"I've never been more thankful, or felt more blessed from above," Guthrie wrote in her first blog post. "I know how lucky I am. For a long time, I think I was afraid to even let myself think about how much I hoped to one day have a baby. So that's my mindset as my hubby and I embark on this adventure, and you and I embark on this blog: joy and profound gratitude for many blessings and for the kidness and support of all you wonderful and loyal friends on TODAY.com."

The host shocked the world when she announced that not only had she married Feldman in a weekend ceremony but was also four months pregnant with her first child. Guthrie was all smiles as she shared the news with her "Today" co-stars as well as those at her wedding.

"Savannah looked at Mike and said, 'So, should we break some news? Okay. I – we – are four months pregnant!' It was an explosive moment," a source told People. "Everyone was on their feet, cheering."

The couple met in 2008 when Guthrie attended Feldman's birthday party with a friend. After that, they began dating and got engaged last May. They exchanged vows in March and made the pregnancy announcement at the same time. It was a surprise to fans, and her "Today" show co-stars could not have been happier with Guthrie's news.

Guthrie and Feldman have decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise from everyone, including themselves. They will find out in August, along with everyone else. Until then, Guthrie will be keeping the public updated on her adventures in pregnancy through her blog for the "Today" show.
