A new promo clip for the episode revealed that she will be joining forces with Cyrus to bring down Pope.

"I want to destroy Olivia Pope," a tense-sounding Mellie spoke to Cyrus. The latter, on the other hand, appears to be more than eager to do the job when he exclaimed with a resounding "Yes!"

Mellie, in the meantime, appears to become very contemptuous towards the show's leading lady.

"Oh look. It's the girl who can't shut her legs," she said.

In related news, viewers will get to see the reunion finally happening between Huck and Quinn after their brief fall out in Season 4.

For those who missed last Thursday's episode, the US President was hard at work figuring out who was responsible for leaking his intimate moments with the crisis manager. All the while, Liv tackles a case that would have her and the Gladiators temporarily get away from D.C.

However, towards the closing of the episode, Liv was taken aback with the arrival of the countless media personnel outside her apartment. When asked if indeed, she is the president's mistress, Liv answered with a "yes."

"Scandal" Season 5 airs Thursdays, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
