Scholarship Fund for Women at the Golden Gate Seminary
DENVER – A chaplain for the FBI and the Colorado Highway Patrol announced a new scholarship program for women preparing for ministry at the Rocky Mountain campus of the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Naomi Paget, also involved in training chaplains for disaster relief and corporate settings, dedicated this privately funded scholarship for women involved in the mission field.
The scholarship is being named in honor of Neva Burk, a Mission Service Corps missionary for 13 years in New England. Paget describes Burk as "a great woman in Southern Baptist life who has been an inspiration to me personally and an advocate for women who are called to ministry."
"We are deeply grateful for this generous gift," said Golden Gate President William O. Crews. "This type of gift dramatically aids us in our mission to prepare Christian leaders for the future, in the West and around the world."

Stephen G. Veteto, director of the seminary's Rocky Mountain campus in Denver, added, "It is wonderful to see how God continues to provide for the needs of our students in this region. We are very appreciative to Naomi Paget for this scholarship for female students. This will enable them to receive a quality theological education that will prepare them for the ministries to which God has called them."
