'Scorpion' Season 2 Spoilers: EP Discusses Effects Of Walter's Passive Reaction To Megan's Death

Fans of the hit crime drama TV series "Scorpion" Season 2 were left devastated with the passing of Walter O'Brien's sister, Megan, on the previous episode titled "Arrivals and Departures."

For those who missed it, Walter almost didn't make it in time to be at Megan's side as the latter waited for her final breath. This was because of a fatal fungus outbreak that infected the hospital where she was admitted, causing the whole place to be shut down from the outside. Thanks to the geniuses of Scorpion, they were able to save everyone inside.

Despite the severity of the situation, knowing that he can't be with his sister anymore, the genius still had a kind of passive reaction to it. It can be deduced that he really cared for his sibling but it seems like Walter is still unequipped with the right emotion to really feel it.

In his interview with ET Online, executive producer Nick Santora best described Walter's reaction to Megan's death as something close to a simple "Oh, OK."

"That's an example of an actor being given four letters, three syllables and putting all the meaning behind it, which is 'I know how to process advanced mathematical theorems, but I don't know how to process this so all I can do is say, 'Oh OK,'" Santora said (via ET).

However, Walter's failure to properly deal with his situation will cause "consternation and concern" with the people around him, including Paige.

The EP went on to tease that in the coming episodes, his refusal to face Megan's passing will eventually "come to a head."

Santoro added that viewers will particularly find out in Episode 12 that the character will do something that is totally unexpected and this is because of what his sister has taught him.

"Scorpion" Season 2 returns to CBS Dec. 7, at 9 p.m. with the episode titled "The Old College Try."
