'Scorpion' Season 2 Premiere Date, News: The Geniuses Are Back for More Suspenseful Adventures This September

CBS' hit TV drama series "Scorpion" is now set to return to the small screen a couple of months from now to offer more amazing and exciting showcase of brilliance of Walter (Elyes Gabel) and his crew.

A report from Enstars said that the scripted program based on the real-life genius and computer whiz, Walter O'Brien, will go back to its usual 9 p.m. Monday timeslot starting this Sept. 21.

Executive producer Nichlas Wootton, it was found out that the upcoming chapter will tackle more on arced storylines and will be less on "adventure of the week" episodes.

"I think what we may have going into next season is more arcs. We'll be able to look at an entire template and we'll be able to plan those things out a little bit more than we did this year, because we really only had the first thirteen planned, and then we moved on once we knew that was coming up," Wootton told AssignmentX.

The conversation probed deeper into the budding relationships between its characters including Happy (Jadyn Wong) with Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Walter with Katherine McPhee's Paige.

"It gives us options. I mean, I see nothing but good in those things. And we've been doing it for a while now, so I feel like it is absolutely something that we feel works for us and it gives us a lot of places to go in terms of, one heats up, the other cools down, we're able to play with those sort of temperature shifts," the showrunner explained.

To reiterate, "Scorpion" Season 2 premieres this Sept. 21 on CBS.
