'Scorpion' Season 4 News: 'Veronica Mars' Alum Tina Majorino Lands Guest-Starring Role for CBS Drama

A new female character will try to break Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Paige (Katharine McPhee) apart when "Scorpion" returns for season 4.

Walter and Paige have just made their relationship official last season, but it looks like someone will be testing their love for each other soon. "Veronica Mars" vet Tina Majorino has been tapped to play a guest-starring role for "Scorpion's" next installment, reports confirmed.

She will take on the role of Florence, a chemist who moves in next door to the Scorpion team. While she does not immediately become friends with the team, Walter and Co. will eventually accept her. Unfortunately, her closeness to the gang will lead to even more problems.

In addition to her role in "Veronica Mars," Majorino also appeared as a recurring character in seasons 9 and 10 of "Grey's Anatomy." She also had roles on "Bones," "True Blood," "Big Love," "Castle," "The Deep End" and the 2004 comedy series "Napoleon Dynamite.

Production for season 4 officially kicked off in July and cast members of "Scorpion" are still in the process of filming for more new episodes. In August, actor Ari Stidham teased that the season 4 premiere will revolve around his character Sylvester and Megan (Camille Gauty).

"There's a good amount of Megan O'Brien in the first two episodes," he said in an interview. "The character doesn't come back, but there's a lot of stuff for Sly as far as Megan goes," he continued.

Fans may recall that Megan died in the last episode of "Scorpion" after her marriage with Sylvester. Since Walter is Megan's brother, he has formed a closer bond witth Sylvester.

The upcoming season is also expected to explore Toby (Eddie Kaye Thoms) and Happy's (Jadyn Wong) married life. Now that they have tied the knot, there are speculations that they will soon have kids of their own.

The fourth season of "Scorpion" premieres Monday, Sept. 25, at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
