Scott Disick and his partner Kourtney Kardashian are mourning the loss of his mother, Bonnie, this week.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" star traveled from Los Angeles to Disick's hometown in Long Island following the death in the family, according to reports on Thursday.
"It's true, Scott's mother did pass away and he's extremely sad about it," a family friend confirmed to MailOnline.
The mother of the E! reality star died sometime last week at the age of 63, according to RadarOnline.
An only child, Disick is reportedly "devastated" over Bonnie Disick's sudden death. Subsequently, he has remained silent on social media outlets and was photographed looking glum back in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
"Scott was very close to his mother," an insider told RadarOnline.
It remains uncertain how Bonnie Disick died, but her son has been noticeably absent from Kardashian family gatherings in recent weeks, including Kim Kardashian's lavish engagement to Kanye West in San Francisco on Oct. 29th.
It is believed that Disick and his longtime girlfriend Kardashian to his hometown of Eastport, Long Island, New York for the funeral.
"It was a small affair," said the source at RadarOnline. "There was just a handful of people. No other Kardashians beyond Kourtney attended. But the entire family is saddened with the news of Bonnie's passing. They loved her so much."
Disick and Kardashian have been dating since 2006 and share two children together; Mason and Penelope.
Kardashian was said to have bonded with Bonnie Disick while coping with her boyfriend's encounter with alcohol abuse.
Furthermore, Bonnie appeared on the Kardashian's spin-off series, "Kourtney & Kim Take New York.
The episode saw Scott, Kourtney, their son Mason and her sister Khloe head to the Hamptons to spend time with Disick's parents.
