Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina - American Idol Alums to Perform at 2012 CMT Music Awards

Expect to see Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina take the stage together at the 2012 CMT Music Awards. The two are good friends and competed and performed together in American Idol Season 10 in 2011, where McCreery was crowned as America's "Idol."

Country newcomers Casey James, Jana Kramer, and the Farm and Kip Moore will also perform on the same Nationwide Insurance stage.

Main stage performances will feature Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Pistol Annies, Little Big Town, the Zac Brown Band, the Band Perry, Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Jr.

There is some tough competition this year with top names in every category nominated for honors. Carrie Underwood is up for five nominations with her Video "Good Girl" and her duet with Brad Paisley titled "Remind Me."
