Arrow Season 4 Premiere Spoilers: Faces Darkest Villain, Damien Darhk, in Episode 1

Oliver Queen will return to his city, the newly christened 'Star City,' to fight the 'Ghosts' who have invaded it, only to find that Diggle does not want The Arrow back. Meanwhile, the new villain Damien Darhk is more powerful than all the previous villains put together. The premiere episode is titled 'Green Arrow' and Season 4 of "Arrow" starts off with thrilling action right away.

The official synopsis of the premiere episode, 'Green Arrow,' reads – "The City has been attacked by 'Ghosts,' assassins led by a dangerous man named Damien Darhk. However, when Oliver returns, Diggle (David Ramsey) makes it very clear that he doesn't want him on the team."

In the beginning of the episode, viewers see the blissful couple, Oliver and Felicity, enjoying togetherness when their paradise is rudely interrupted. Thea Queen aka Speedy, played by Willa Holland, and Laurel Lance aka Black Canary, played by Katie Cassidy, come to Oliver and tell him about the terrible going-ons at Star City. Damien Darhk and his 'Ghosts' have taken over and the city needs the Arrow now more than ever.

Oliver, played by Stephen Amell, has no choice but to go back to Star City. He will also undergo a change in costume and he is now the 'Green Arrow.' Once Oliver comes back to the city, he finds Diggle most uncooperative and resistant about having Oliver on the team.

So the main villain this season, Damien Darhk, will be played by Neal McDonough. The most dangerous thing about Damien Darhk is that he does evil for evil's sake, unlike other villains who are doing all the wrong things for some reason, be it revenge or some goal to be achieved. But Damien Darhk has no redeeming feature. According to EW, Damien Darhk has been working in Star City for the last three months that Oliver has been away, building his team of 'Ghosts.'

The battle between Arrow and Damien Darhk will be most interesting to watch and it starts off this week on Wednesdays on The CW.
