Seattle Seahawks vs St Louis Rams is the big Monday Night Football game in the NFL tonight, with the Rams looking to revive their season by taking down division leaders and fierce rivals, the Seahawks. The game is scheduled to start at 8.40 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Seahawks come into this game with a record of 6-1 having won their last two straight games. They sit atop the NFC West and will be confident to gain a third straight win tonight against basement team, the St Louis Rams.
Seattle defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-22 last week, building on their good 20-13 win over Tennessee in Week 6. They have allayed fears that their Week 5 loss against the Indianapolis Colts 28-34 would spark a downward trend in their season, and they have bounced back well. They will now want to kick on and build a solid lead at the top of the division and solidify their push for the postseason spots.
The Seahawks have a 6th ranked offense, averaging 27.3 points per game. Much of their success has been down to their efficient rush offense, which is ranked number 1 in the league, posting an average of 154.4 yards per game.
Marshawn Lynch has been phenomenal for Seattle, going 578 yards on 138 carries for 6 touchdowns and an average gain of 4.2 yards per carry.
Russell Wilson will be hoping to utilize him well today and smash holes through the Rams' defense. Wilson himself is 115 of 187 for 1,489 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Meanwhile the Rams come into this game at 3-4 on the back of a 15-30 loss on the road to Carolina. They had hoped that they had laid a marker down for the season in Week 6, destroying the Houston Texans 38-13 on the road. However, last week's loss was a big wake up call and sent them back to the drawing board.
How close tonight's game is will depend a lot on which Rams team turns up; the one that put 38 points past Houston, or the one who looked null of ideas against Carolina last week.
