Selena Gomez Flattered by Justin Bieber 'Princess' Tweet; 'It Was Really Sweet'

Selena Gomez was reportedly flattered by Justin Bieber's recent gesture following the Oscars, but the former Disney star is not yet ready to reconcile with the singer.

On Monday Bieber, 20, tweeted a photograph of Gomez, 21, at Vanity Fair's Oscars party alongside the photo caption "Most elegant princess in the world." The "Come & Get It" singer was reportedly pleased with Bieber's compliment and while fans are hoping the exes will get back together, insiders say the pop star must first prove himself.

"Selena has seen what Justin tweeted about her and thought it was really sweet," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"This is the Justin she would go back to, but she knows too well that it's not realistic," the source explained. "He says he's going to do this and that and begs for her to come back, but then his actions end up not matching his words."

In January the pair reunited in Calabasas following their May split and while they appeared to be rebuilding their relationship, Bieber abruptly moved on weeks later with model Chantel Jeffries. The "Confident" singer was arrested in Miami on Jan. 23 and was photographed with Jeffries days later which fueled romance reports and Gomez was reportedly hurt.

"Selena would go back with Justin, but it would take a lot of convincing," the source said alluding to the pair's trust issues.

"So far, she isn't sold and she doesn't want the emotional roller coaster stress and drama, and heartache," the insider explained.

Bieber recently celebrated his birthday with family and friends however Gomez, who he dated for three years, was not present. The singer is reportedly hoping to win her back.

"Justin wants Selena back ... He misses her and feels lost and empty without her," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"He's pretty surprised that their roles have changed. She used to be more into him, and now it's the other way around," the source continued. "The more she pulls away, the more appealing she is to him."
