Teen Choice Awards 2014 Winners: Shailene Woodley Inspires at Awards Show

The much-awaited 2014 Teen Choice Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California last Sunday. One of the most memorable highlights in the awards night were about Shailene Woodley winning big both for her movies "Divergent" and "The Fault in our Stars."

Together with Ansel Elgort, the 22-year-old star was honored with several prizes including choice drama and action movie actress for Woodley and choice drama movie actor and breakout movie star for Ansel. They also received a trophy for choice movie lip-lock for the kiss they did in "The Fault in Our Stars."

"She was not born a superhero," Woodley said about her "Divergent" character upon receiving her choice movie actress surfboard. "The truest form of bravery and courage is to wake up every day and be ourselves."

Later on, the actress again gave an inspiring message while accepting their award for "The Fault in Our Stars."

"There are a lot of people at home right now breathing into oxygen machines. There's no way to justify this. Life is unfair. All we have [are] moments and it's really our job to wake up each day and be so grateful for those moments," she said.

Highlights of the show, which was hosted by "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland and "Teen Wolf" actor Tyler Posey, include the incredible performances of Demi Lovato and Cher Lloyd for the song "Really Don't Care." Magic! Rixton, Becky G, and Jason Derulo also wowed the crowd with their music and dance presentations all throughout the show.

Donald Sutherland, the choice movie villain awardee for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," spiced up the event as he tossed some Panem berries to the audience.

"I have brought you souvenirs from Panem! They're berries — I wouldn't eat them if I were you," Sutherland jokingly said.

Other winners who have also got their hands on the surfboard trophy are Lucy Hale, who won choice drama TV show actress for "Pretty Little Liars"; Josh Hutcherson, who won choice sci-fi/fantasy movie actor for "Hunger Games"; and Selena Gomez for ultimate choice award.
