Aside from playing at home for the second leg, Shakhtar had the win they needed in the away leg as they did what they were supposed to do in Braga.

Facing a daunting task in Portugal, the Ukrainian outfit scored the game's first two goals after Yaroslav Rakitskiy found the back of the net in the 44th minute to head into the break with a 1-0 advantage.

They would go on to maintain the pressure and find the second goal that was eventually given in the 75th when Facundo Ferreyra took a shot to beat the Braga defense, thanks to an assist by Marlos Bonfim.

For Braga, they had a consolation goal in the 89th minute after Wilson Eduardo cut down the deficit by half and are now hoping that they can find a goal in their away leg to even the playing field and give them time to turn the tide around.

In the first leg, Braga had more of the ball as he had possession 56% of the time and though that may change in the away leg, they should try to dictate the pace and score early.

Their strikes should always be ready for the ball as they need to be aggressive when on offense to force Shakhtar to commit a mistake and create an opening.

Both teams are hoping for a win as only one of them will move on after 90 minutes of play.
