A brave 4-year-old girl from Kalamazoo, Michigan, is being hailed as a hero after she made an impressive 911 call to get help for her pregnant, epileptic mother who had an unexpected seizure.

"Somehow, she fell, and I went to go see what happened," young Calise Manning told WWMT about what happened to her mother, Centerria Manning, who was nine months pregnant at the time of the incident last Wednesday.

The 911 recording of Calise's call for help reveals her clearly introducing herself to the dispatcher and explaining what happened to her mother.

"This is Calise Manning … she's shaking and she's having a baby. My mom is really pregnant and she's having a boy and she really needs help," Calise told the dispatcher.

"How old are you honey?" asked the dispatcher.

"4," replied Calise to the dispatcher's surprise who asked, "you're 4?"

"Yes. And I'm almost getting bigger," Calise told her.

The called lasted more than seven minutes, and during that time Calise was able to explain that her mother had a seizure and was able to give them her address.

"I got up and that's all I can remember. … I woke up and my daughter, Calise, was standing over me and she was on the phone with 911," said Centerria Manning from her hospital room.

"I was so proud of her, because we practice … because I am epileptic, I teach her the address and my full name and things like that, and how to dial 911," added Centerria, who explained that she began teaching her daughter how to call 911 at 2 years of age.

The thankful mother explained that her fiancé was at work at the time of her seizure and she is happy her daughter really came through.

"She was like, 'I told you I was gonna take care of you if something happened,'" Centerria said of her daughter.

"It was really good to ride in the ambulance with mom, and she was really proud of me," said the excited 4-year-old hero of her eventful day.

Her mother was taken to Borgess Medical Center where she later gave birth to her little brother who was born early last Friday morning. The family named the baby boy T.J. and Calise is now happy to be a big sister.

"He's cute and I really love him," she said of her younger brother.
