Singer Sinead O’Connor married on her 45th birthday Thursday.

On Wednesday, the singer announced on her Website that she would marry her boyfriend as soon as the next day.

“With enormous joy myself and my beloved boyfriend Barry Herridge will be getting married tomorrow in my absolute dream wedding ceremony,” O’Connor said on her site.

The "dream ceremony" was at an undisclosed location.

Although it isn’t the first time the famous singer has experienced a memorable birthday outside of conventional celebration.

On a 2007 broadcast of the Oprah Winfrey Show, O’Connor admitted to having attempted suicide on her 33rd birthday in 1999.

Contrary to some shocking publicity moments however, O’Connor is still very much renowned for her successful music career.

The Irish singer is most famously known for her hit song “Nothing Compares 2 U,” which became a worldwide hit when it released in 1990.

The song achieved a number one spot on Billboard’s charts in April of 1990 and has seen continued success ever since.

In 2004 Rolling Stone listed the song at number 165 on its esteemed “500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list.

Herridge will be her fourth husband since her first marriage to music producer John Reynolds in the 1990s.

After her second marriage ended she told a close friend that she would “never marry again,” according to her website.

While O’Connor has had a bit of a tumultuous past with relationships, she seems to have a renewed optimism.

A cheerful attitude is presented with her new marriage to Herridge and she seems enthusiastic to share it with fans.

“We will post a photo or two here on the site as soon as possible afterward,” O’Connor mentioned on her website.
