Singer Adele has hit back at claims that she is dating a married man, after several reports recently surfaced claiming the singer's new boyfriend is still married.
"This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon. Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years," Adele wrote on her blog.
"Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February," she added.
On Wednesday, it was alleged that the 23-year-old "Someone Like You" singer's charity entrepreneur boyfriend, Simon Konecki, was legally married with one child, as US Weekly reported.
Konecki, 36, is believed to have attended Eton, an opulent boarding school also once attended by Princes William and Harry prior to marrying fashion stylist Clary Fisher in 2004.
While the former couple do have a 5-year-old daughter, they are reportedly no longer married, despite US Weekly's claims.
Adele, who is renowned for her songs about heart break, has been spotted with Konecki on a number of occasions, including during a trip to Florida Everglades, leading fans to assume the relationship is getting serious.
Although she recently underwent throat surgery Adele, full name Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, is said to be recovering with the help of Konecki.
"To have Simon by her side has made things a lot better. She's smiling in a way I haven't seen in a long time," a source told US Weekly.
Adele's Album "21" has been No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for 16 weeks and high sales are reportedly making history, according to Billboard.com.
The singer has reportedly been nominated for six Grammy awards, and while critics speculated that she was likely to host this year's ceremony, rapper LL Cool J has been confirmed as host.
