'Skyrim Special Edition' News: Upcoming 1.4 Update Set to Introduce New Mod Features

'Skyrim Special Edition's' newest update expected to be released next week

"Skyrim Special Edition" is set to receive a new update in the very near future, and this latest downloadable will be heavily focused on mods.

Detailed in a new post on Bethesda.net, the game's upcoming 1.4 update will be introducing some new features for mods that should make it easier for players to manage them.

First off, the filters for finding mods are getting updated so that it will be easier for players to check out the Highest Rated and Most Favorited mods over set periods of time. This change should enable players to better identify the mods that are popular within the community recently as well as those that have been received quite well by their fellow players for a longer stretch of time.

A new Featured category will also be introduced for mods.

Some extra details will also be tacked on to the Mod Details page. New statistics set to be added include the favorites count, the version number and the required dependencies of the mod.

Fixes are also included in this upcoming "Skyrim Special Edition" update, and one is specifically designed to get rid of the crashes that could occur every now and then whenever players went through the Load Order menu.

Error messaging using Bethesda.net should also be improved after the next update is installed.

Notably, some Xbox One players are still wondering about when the 1.3 Update may be made available for them, especially with its follow-up already on the way.

Over on the Bethesda.net forums, community administrator Matt Grandstaff responded to a player asking about the 1.3 update for the Xbox One. Grandstaff revealed that "any necessary changes from 1.3 will be rolled into 1.4."

The 1.4 Update is already available via Steam Beta for interested PC players. The full version of this newest "Skyrim Special Edition" update is currently set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One versions of the game sometime next week.
