The hit supernatural TV series "Sleepy Hollow" is now ready to kick off the second half of its second season and spoiler reports suggest that things are getting a lot more interesting. Here's what we heard.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Mark Goffman revealed that the mid-season premiere will see the coming of an angel, good news for both Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison).

"Right off the bat, we jump in with this story of this avenging angel," the executive producer said.

For a refresher, the first half of the season ended with a stand-off between Moloch and the Witnesses. It was revealed that whoever is using the legendary sword of Methuselah will have to pay off with their soul.

The team opted for Captain Irving to lead the assault wielding the sword. He doesn't have to worry about his soul as it is already owned by Henry. However, it turns out that it isn't that effective to defeat Moloch and Captain Irving has to pay the shortcoming with his dear life. Hope came when Henry showed up at the very last minute and vanquished the foe.

But the stand-off drama won't end there as a new plot twist is set to happen in this year's new episode of "Sleepy Hollow."

"Reeling from the events of their standoff with Moloch, Ichabod and Abbie encounter an angel, Orion, that they believe can help them. Meanwhile, Katrina searches for the humanity in Abraham," a synopsis for the upcoming episode reads.

Revealed by TV Line, the celestial being will be played by "The Tudors" actor Max Brown.

"As the story unfolds, it becomes extreme. There's a really interesting connection between Abbie and the angel," the EP teased.
