'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 MidSeason Premiere Preview: Where Is Abbie Mills And Will Ichabod Save Her?

Supernatural drama TV series "Sleepy Hollow" is returning from its winter hiatus on February 5, Friday, on the Fox Network. In the show's fall finale last November, fans saw FBI Agent Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) sacrifice herself by going into a mysterious tree trunk in order to save her friends from a deadly blast. Her friends come to after the blast, only to find no trace of her.

According to a report in Tech Times, the upcoming episode titled "One Life" will show how Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison), Jenny Mills (Lyndie Greenwood) and Joe Corbin (Zach Appelman) are desperately trying to find a way to save Abbie. Their rescue mission however will likely take a backseat when they find out that all sorts of monsters are coming to Sleepy Hollow for what one of the characters call a "monsters convention."

Fox released a promotional trailer for the upcoming episode which showed the show's heroes looking over a map which apparently showed that all manner of evil will be congregating in the town soon. It is unclear how the team will do this however.

As for the fate of the other half of the Witnesses, the promo trailer showed her calling out for help through a message in a mirror, which said "Help me, Crane." Crane also gets a vision that his partner in crime is on the verge of death and needs to be saved soon.

The episode's official synopsis is as follows: "Following Abbie's huge sacrifice, Crane and Jenny find themselves at a loss. In an effort to save Abbie, Crane forms an unlikely partnership and Jenny confronts a former foe."

According to another report in Design and Trend, the "unlikely partnership" that is referred to in the synopsis may have to be with two unlikely characters that Crane will work with. In the trailer, fans catch a glimpse of Sophie Foster (Jessie Camacho) who turned out to be a deep cover FBI agent, as she seems to be working alongside Crane to find Abbie. The report however also points to another possible person that the "unlikely partnership" is referring to, in the person of Abbie's boss, Daniel Reynolds (Lance Gross). In the fall finale, Reynolds was shown reporting to someone about Abbie, referring to her as an "asset" they were "nurturing."

The series returns to the small screen on February 5, Friday on its new timeslot at 8 p.m. EST.
