'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 Update: New Villain, New Love Interest for Crane?
"Sleepy Hollow" has returned for its third season with the season premiere airing last week, October 1. The season premiere brought to light two new characters that will be figuring prominently this current season. According to a report in Realty Today, there are two new female characters in the show, namely Pandora and Betsy Ross.
Pandora, played by Shannyn Sossamon, is a Season 3 main character and in the premiere episode, she is shown casting some sort of spell that traps the Horseman of Death's soul in her box. Based on earlier reports, her character will ask for help from Abbie and Ichabod while at the same time hiding her real intentions. She is said to want to bring forth a new demon that can paralyze men with fear and then kills them. This makes her the new villain this season.
The report cited that according to a promotional teaser for upcoming episode 2, Pandora will be unleashing "a new form of evil" that will bring the main characters Abbie and Ichabod to confront their past.

The other new character is Betsy Ross, played by Nikki Reed. Betsy Ross has a personal history with Ichabod, having worked with him under the leadership of General Washington. In Episode 1, Ross is shown working as a spy during General Washington's time. She is also said to be Ichabod's old flame and her appearance in the current season may mean a rekindling of their relationship, one way or another.
The current season, according to another report in Design and Trend, will show Abbie as a full-fledged FBI agent, after completing her training. She is also paired off with Daniel Reynolds, also an FBI agent who happens to be her boss and her ex-lover. Reynolds may be the main hindrance for Abbie and Ichabod to have a romantic relationship, which fans of the series have been hankering for.
As a treat for fans of the series as well as fans of "Bones," the show's Halloween special will be a crossover episode with "Bones" which will have Booth and Brennan working with Abbie and Ichabod to solve a murder.
Episode 2 of "Sleepy Hollow" will be airing on October 8, on Fox.
