SMS Service Spreads Bible Verses to Cell Phones

A text messaging service called Mfaith is spreading the Word of God to subscribers by sending daily Bible verses to their cell phones.

Short message service technology has been popularly used as a way to connect to friends, find dates, and receive information. Gary Brooks, CEO of SMS Media Group in Aliso Viejo, California, created Mfaith because he saw the potential application towards Christian faith.

"People ask us how we know to send just the right message at the right time," comments Brooks. "The fact is that everyone faces similar life challenges and difficulties and the scriptures that we send through the Mfaith service can be applied to problems people face."
