Snooki and Newt Gingrich Talk Strippers on Jay Leno: "I'm Trying to Be Like You" Says Snooki (VIDEO)

In an unusual pairing, Newt Gingrich and Snooki appeared together on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

During what seemed like an odd couple night, Gingrich and Snooki were both forced to strive for common ground. Such a task wasn't easy considering Gingrich has never actually seen the "Jersey Shore."

No worries though, because Snooki extended a personal invitation to the former presidential candidate suggesting that he come by and "hang out" sometime after greeting him with a fist bump.

"That'd be awesome. You could drink 'Ron-Ron' juice," Polizzi said.

The two both share the fact that they are on the New York Times Bestseller's list, Snooki with her second book, a feat which Gingrich congratulated her for.

"Thank you," Snooki responded. "I'm trying to be like you."

The pregnant star talked about her wedding plans with Gingrich as well, admitting that she would be letting her fiancé have strippers at his bachelor party. She questioned whether Gingrich had been offered the same luxury.

"No," Gingrich said offering a politician-like head shake. "I feel like now my life has in some way been deprived, listening to you."

"Callista didn't say you're going to be married for the rest of your life so go crazy?" Leno asked.

"No she said she was already crazy for saying she'd marry me. She figured that was enough for one round," Gingrich replied.

When asked whether he drank or not, Gingrich admitted that he did "sometimes."

"Good for you," Snooki said.

According to Gingrich the last time that he got wasted was when he was "thinking about coming on the show."
