Snooki will film the sixth season of "Jersey Shore" while pregnant, possibly changing the dynamic of the successful reality show forever.
At first, many speculated that Snooki's pregnancy could end "Jersey Shore" which had five wildly popular seasons. However, MTV confirmed that the show would continue with the mom-to-be, and that season six would be taped this summer.
"While things will definitely be a little different this time when they hit the boardwalk, their trademark hilarity and family dysfunction will remain the same," said an MTV representative to MTV News.
In addition to continuing her dominance as the most popular character on "Jersey Shore," Snooki has also been filming her very own spinoff with fellow cast member J Woww. The unnamed show was taped in Jersey City, N.J., in an old firehouse on Mercer Street.
Most of their time was spent dog-walking and shopping, according to reports. They also took a spring break vacation to Cancun, although it is unknown if their time there will appear in the spinoff.
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley aren't the only ones looking to expand their "Jersey Shore" fan base past the reality show. Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio has his own spinoff, which focuses on his DJing career as he tours the U.S.
The show, called "The Pauly D Project," premieres March 29, a few months before "Jersey Shore" begins again. Even though his new reality show is set to do well, Pauly D told MTV he still loves the original reality show, and can't wait for the next season.
"Absolutely! I'm there!" Pauly D told MTV News when asked about a sixth season of the show. "I love summers on the Jersey Shore. I love it as a show, and I love it with my roommates. I wouldn't do it without [them]. I gotta do it with them. I want all of them, and I want the Jersey Shore."
