Sony PlayStation Store Launches Final Holiday Sale Until January 5

The Sony PlayStation Store joined many online retailers in launching special holiday sales for the 2015 holiday season which started the day after Thanksgiving. The online game retailer is now on the final leg of its holiday sale which will only last until January 5, according to a report in Tech Times.

According to the report, there are good discounts on some recent releases as well as deep discounts on some older game titles. For the new releases, of note are the discounts on offer for "Fallout 4" and "Bloodborne."

"Fallout 4" is currently available with a 10% discount, which is now on sale for $53.99. This game was recently released last November 10, 2015. PS4 players who have been wanting to get their hands on what most consider as the "game of the year" may be enticed to buy this time around, despite its steep price.

On the other hand, the action RPG "Bloodborne" which was released in March 2015, is currently available for $31.99 after a 20% discount. This title has sold over 2 million copies as of September 2015.

The futuristic underwater adventure game "SOMA" is also on sale for $23.99 after a 20% discount. The title, which is made by Frictional Game, is described as a "creepy science fiction" game that "takes all concepts of what being human means and turns it on its head." According to Tech Times, this is one of 2015's best independent games so far.

Yet another independent title "Everybody's Gone to Rapture" is also on sale for only $15.99 after a 20% discount. The storyline of the game has to do with a remote English village where all its inhabitants suddenly disappeared. Players need to get to the bottom of the mystery.

According to the report, "Far Cry 4" at $21.99 is the "best sale of the season." The game is the best shooter game of 2014 as awarded by Game Awards. It takes players to the dangerous Himalayas, in an area called Kyrat as an open-world adventure title.

Favorite sports game titles are also on sale, such as "NBA Live 16" and "NHL 16," for as much as 50% off. "Just Dance 6" on the other hand offers a 30% discount, so it now sells at only $34.99 for the full game.
