Sony unveiled the Xperia neo L in China this week that will come with Google's latest operating software, Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

The device also sports some impressive specifications including a 4-inch 480 x 854 pixel display, a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon MSM8255 processor with Adreno 205 graphics, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of internal memory, a microSD slot, a 5-megapixel rear camera with 720p recording and a VGA front camera.

The smartphone is set to launch in both black and white and weighs 131.5 grams. It also strongly resembles the Sony's Xperia PLAY.

It is slated to launch in China sometime this year. Sony did not release any information regarding pricing for the new handset.

The company previously announced its devices that would receive the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich this year. The list included the Xperia arc and arc S, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo and neo V, Xperia mini and mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active, Xperia ray, and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman.

Android 4.0 seems to finally be making its mark in the smartphone arena with most major handset makers setting release dates for the ICS updates on all of their popular devices.

HTC is also launching three new devices that come with ICS stock including the HTC One S, One V and quad-core One X.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has already started receiving Android 4.0 in various places around the globe including many areas in Europe. The update is slated to come to other Samsung made devices including the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab along with being available on the Galaxy S3 when it is released later on this year.

News on a new device being called the Motorola Droid RAZR Fighter also surfaced yesterday. This handset seems to be the follow up to last year's Droid RAZR. It will also most likely include Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.
