Sony Xperia Z3+ Specs, Release Date: Xperia Z4 Finally Hits International Market Under Different Brand Name

Several weeks ago, Sony announced its Xperia Z4 to battle other brands in the Android market. Unfortunately, for some reason, the device is only available in Japan.

Fortunately, the Japanese manufacturer has finally released the international version of its current flagship. Dubbed as the Xperia Z3+, the smartphone has quietly been launched for markets outside of Japan.

In the report by GSM Arena, the Android-powered handset will retain the minimal upgrades of the Xperia Z4, which include a Snapdragon 810 chipset and a 32GB built-in memory. The previous model only had the Snapdragon 801 SoC, and 16GB of internal storage. The front shooter has also been upgraded to 5MP from 2MP.

However, that's where the specs upgrades end. The device, being a little thinner than the Xperia Z3, only packs a 2,930mAh compared to the predecessor's 3,100mAh battery.

Other specs of the international Sony Xperia Z4 include the staple 21MP primary shooter, and the same 5.2-inch TRILUMINOUS display with (1920 x 1080) resolution. Other features include IP65/IP68 certification.

Last year, Sony was criticised by consumers and experts for including minimal improvements in its Android flagships. But considering that the Japanese phone maker updates its flagship twice a year is one reason why it keeps upgrades to a minimum.

There are no details yet where the Xperia Z3+ would become available right away, and how much it would cost.
