"Other devices that are part of the Xperia Z4 line could also be revealed during the press conference, such as the Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra, Sony Xperia Z4 Compact and the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet," PhoneArena.com reported.

They further stated that the Sony presscon will take place on Jan. 5 at 5 p.m. at booth number 14200.

Knowing that it's still less than two months before the said affair takes place, rumors about the new handset (the specs and design) are already making rounds in the Web.

One of which came from GSM Arena who said that the new Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to "solve the messy cable situation of previous generation by dropping the magnetic charger and moving to Qi wireless charging."

"The microUSB port (which some users report loosens with time and compromises water resistance) will be the kind that survives water without any flap at all - like the one we've seen on some recent IP-rated smartphones. The phone will maintain its IP68 rating nonetheless," the site went on to say.
