Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas Announce Their Engagement

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are engaged.

On Sunday, Sophie Turner took to Instagram to announce the news of her engagement to DNCE frontman Joe Jonas. The 21-year-old British actress shared an image of her new pear-shaped diamond engagement ring coupled with an eternity band and captioned it with "I said yes." For his part, Jonas also shared the same image and in a variation to Turner's caption, he wrote: "She said yes."

The pair who had been dating since last year had already taken a big step into their relationship when they adopted a dog (a Siberian husky), and it certainly is a surprise that Turner and Jonas, 28, would quickly venture into the next part of their relationship.

Sophie Turner shot to fame when she first played the role of Sansa Stark in the critically acclaimed HBO series "Game of Thrones." Joe Jonas, on the other hand, has been in the industry for quite a while now, stemming from his time with Disney and his previous band, the Jonas Brothers, which also consisted of his brothers Nick and Kevin. Kevin Jonas, 29, had been married since 2009 to his wife Danielle.

With this news came the flood of never-ending congratulations most notable of which are the people closest to the couple's hearts. Nick and Kevin each took to Instagram to congratulate the newly engaged couple sharing the same image that the two had posted with the latter welcoming Turner to the family.

"Ahh! Congratulations to my brother...and sister in law to be on your engagement," Nick wrote. "I love you both so much," he added.

Even Joe's ex, pop star Demi Lovato, had sent out her congratulations, and not only that, she also made sure to let everyone know how happy she was for the couple going so far as to comment on her ex's Instagram post.

 She said yes.
