At the moment, Villarreal hold a slim 2-1 aggregate lead after a home win a few days ago, but Sparta had a big away goal that could be useful if they win 1-0 at home.

On the other hand, Villarreal is hoping to be one of the two Spanish clubs to represent the Spanish La Liga in the semis of the competition as there are three teams from the country.

Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla are playing each other in the quarters – and that ensures a Spanish team to move on, but Villarreal also wants to move on in the next round and if they can hold Sparta from scoring a goal at home, then they can ensure that they would be one step closer.

In the first leg, Villarreal grabbed the early lead after Cedric Bakambu scored in the third minute of the game to give them the early advantage.

However, their defense allowed a goal from Jakub Brabec in injury time of the first half to tie the game at 1-1.

Luckily for Villarreal, Bakambu still had a goal in his pocket as he restored the lead in the 63rd minute and this time, their defense would stop Sparta from scoring again to get a 2-1 win.

Now expect the Czech outfit to score early and give them the advantage at home.
