'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Deleted Scenes Make References to Bigger MCU

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" may have ended its run in theaters, but some fans are still raving about it. Recently, deleted scenes from the film were released that offered a good number of Easter eggs and references to a bigger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although the final version of the film was good enough to make it big at the global box office, it appears that the hilarious deleted scenes could have made the movie even more fun to watch.

Ahead of the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" home video release, Marvel and Sony released some deleted scenes from the movie a few days ago that offered fans a glimpse of how things could have been. Apparently, these scenes and subtle teasers were meant to make people look forward to the upcoming Blu-Ray and DVD releases of the blockbuster film all the more.

Before the film hits Blu-Ray and DVD, the studios dropped a new video featuring Kevin Smith. The said video came out several days ago and showed Smith as he discussed what made "Spider-Man: Homecoming" special. On Sept. 27, a video of Stan Lee that explored the history of the Vulture also made its way online and showed fans how the character was brought to the movie screen. And now, the emergence of the deleted scenes gave fans something that they did not see when they watched the film in theaters.

One of the deleted scenes featured Peter and Ned, while the other one focused on Betty and Jason.

In the first clip, Peter and Ned were shown heading to Washington, DC and passing by the reconstruction of the Triskelion.

In the other one, Betty and Jason were shown delivering the news in a comical scene, which saw the return of Principal Morita and Tiny McKeever, who now has Shocker's gauntlet. The scenes also featured huge references to the MCU, including the S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra in "The Winter Soldier."
