Sprint Galaxy Nexus Sign Up Page Now Available

The Galaxy Nexus first was mentioned to be coming to Sprint after an ad leaked onto the internet earlier this month, only for its arrival to be officially confirmed by the company on Jan. 9.

However, since that time there has not been that much news regarding the number one Android phone actually becoming available for purchase. Little is known about its release date or price.

But for Sprint customers anxious to get their hands on the Galaxy Nexus, the first hint at its release may have actually arrived. Google recently created a sign-up website for those looking to order the Galaxy Nexus on the Now Network.

This sign-up list was launched by the carrier this past weekend. Tech site, 9to5Google, recently outlined the benefits of purchasing the Sprint Version of the smartphone.

"The Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus is unlike the Verizon due to its Google's Wallet technology and faster processor," wrote the site. "Last month, we exclusively told you that Verizon would not have Wallet because of its own-wallet-like technology in development."

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the first LTE device on Sprint's Now Network. Some of its features include 32GB of internal storage, 4.65-inch 720p HD screen, 5-megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Galaxy Nexus was unveiled in Nov. 2011 and launched just before the end of Dec. as an exclusive Verizon device. The smartphone has received positive reviews from various publications and its main draw seems to be its software.

This handset was the first to come with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed making it an instant hit among Android fans. The software update for other hot Android devices such as the Droid Razr and Galaxy S2 are expected to roll out in the coming months.
