The St Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals will fight it out in a winner takes all Game 5 match-up on Friday evening. The Nationals managed to level the series on Thursday night with a tense 2-1 victory. This five game series is currently tied at 2-2 with everything still to play for. The game will start at 8.37 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via one of the packages listed below.
The Nationals so far in this series have one two tight games against the Cardinals by a single run. The Cardinals meanwhile have smashed the Nationals 12-4 and 8-0 in their two wins - an aggregate score of 20-4. So it's anyone's guess as to how tonight's Game 5 will go.
The Nationals will be hoping they can keep the dream alive, having come from off-the-radar contenders early on in the regular season to serious World Series contenders in the post season. After fighting it out with the Cardinals across four grueling games for the National League Division Series it comes down to who can perform when the pressure cooker is turned on tonight.
On Thursday night Jason Werth was the hero, dragging the series into a Game 5 with a walk-off home run.
The Nationals have continued to surprise everyone this season, and many would have thought that the experience and skill of the St Louis team would have laid to rest this series a long time ago. However, the Nationals are still in there fighting and will believe they have as much chance as the Cardinals in this winner takes all play off.
