Stabbed Man Walks Into McDonald's in Queens: 'Just Another Day in the Hood' (VIDEO)

A stabbed man walked into a McDonald's restaurant in Jamaica, Queens Tuesday morning while talking on a cell phone, according to reports. The victim was hospitalized as a result, but refused to tell police why the incident occurred or who stabbed him.

The stabbed man that walked into McDonald's was Andrew Hardy, 53, CBS reported. Despite his grisly wound— the kitchen knife was buried in his back nearly to the handle and blood leaked down his white shirt— he seemed relatively composed while talking to an unknown person on his cell phone.

"He was cool and calm. But you could tell he was shaken up," Michel Green, a friend of the victim, told the New York Post. "I went to pull the knife out, but someone said, 'No, no! It might have hit an artery!'"

"I don't know if he was in shock or what the situation was, but he was fine. It was like, 'Just another day in the hood,'" another eyewitness told the New York Daily News. "It was crazy!"

Witnesses called the police, who took Hardy to Jamaica Hospital for his injuries. Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce told reporters Wednesday that they have video of four men arguing before the stabbing took place, but that Hardy was not cooperative. No arrests have currently been made as a result.

One local food truck worker had his own theory on the stabbing, though. Sean Smith told USA Today that someone had been robbed on "the strip," and the robbery had resulted in the argument and violence. He also said that drug users in the area contribute to the criminal activity.

"As you can see, the strip is filled with crackheads," Smith explained.

Hardy survived the incident, said he's "blessed" that things didn't turn out worse.

"I'm blessed to be alive," Hardy told the New York Post. "It was just a fight and it escalated into something bigger. They hit me from behind, so I couldn't see them — but I have an idea who it was."
