'Star Wars Battlefront 2' Rumors, News: Single-Player Campaign Mode To Be Shown Off at 'Star Wars Celebration' Event

'Star Wars Battlefront 2' to be 'dramatically larger' than first game, according to EA

Outside of a few teasers from Electronic Arts, the upcoming game currently known as "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is still quite a mystery to fans. However, that is finally going to change next month, as developers are expected to show off the game during the "Star Wars Celebration" event.

The official "Star Wars" website already reported previously that the developers from EA will be attending the event, so it really comes as no surprise that the latest rumors are hinting that more details about the sequel will be shared then.

Interestingly enough, however, the newest rumors surrounding the game's appearance at the event are now further pointing to what fans can expect to see.

In a recent report, The Star Wars Game Outpost pointed to some tweets that may be of interest to fans seeking the sequel.

The first tweet highlighted is from Cinelinx editor-in-chief Jordan Maison, who shared that much of the gaming-related presentations at the event will be dedicated to "Star Wars Battlefront 2" and will display how it is superior to the one released a few years ago.

Not long after that tweet went up, Furious Fan Boys editor Jeremy Conrad added something more to the equation, sharing that the single-player component of the new game will be the one showcased at the "Star Wars Celebration" event.

Conrad also noted that the multiplayer features of the sequel may not be shown off until the next Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Fans were already likely to tune in to the "Star Wars Celebration" event even without these new tweets garnering attention, but now it seems that they have even more reasons to do so, now that the long sought-after single-player mode may finally be set to make its official debut.

The "Star Wars Celebration" event will take place from April 13-16, while "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is expected to be released sometime later this year.
