Star Wars Battlefront News, Update: DICE Refutes Reddit Rumors, Says EA Will Go All-Out With Upcoming Game

Amidst the hype for the much anticipated video game from EA Digital Illusions CE, "Star Wars: Battlefront," speculations arise indicating that the studio might be holding back on some of the contents of the game and that it will be released in succeeding DLCs.

A report from Game & Guide said that gamers where quite skeptic with what seems to be a "small number of maps" as well as the "lack of space battles," which is a staple feature in the previous series.

"Some fans are predicting that EA will charge for the 'missing' features as DLC after launch, intentionally withholding content for profit at a later time," the publication wrote.

To clear out the doubts, DICE developer who goes by the username DICE_TheBkingViking took to Reddit to explain.

"No," the user, who has been verified as game producer, was quoted as saying (via G&G). "Please don't make me break what I can and cannot say, but if you think there's anything we're not including in the game to save it for DLC, I can tell you you're 100% wrong. In this project, I've never heard anyone say "Let's not do this for launch so we can do it as DLC instead." Ever."

He meanwhile mentioned about the space battles.

"We have and are still discussing space every now and again. We know it has some very exciting prospects. So of course that would be fun to explore! When and if that will happen is impossible for me to say, but no, we're not saying that space battles are evil and that we will never, ever touch them with a ten-foot pole," he continued.

"Star Wars: Battlefront" is slated to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, this Nov. 17.
