Star Wars Episode 7 Cast to Feature Entrants in 'A Force For Change' Charity Initiative

Star Wars fans now have the opportunity to partcipate in a charity based initiative that gives them a chance to become part of Episode 7's cast.

The film's director J.J. Abrams released a short video clip earlier today that detailed this great opportunity for those looking to play a role in the revival of one of the world's most popular Sci-Fi series of all time.

The charity opportunity labeled Star Wars: A Force For Change, is a brand new initiative that is "dedicated to finding creative solutions to some of the world's biggest problems." It is set to raise funds for UNICEF, and fans who participate will have a chance to be in Episode 7. Users can enter by making a $10 contribution to the Omaze fundraising platform.

The clip features Abrams describing the initiative and even gives fans a close look at the set with an ostrich like character walking around.

In other news, the episode 7 plot will feature an arc with the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia who will be played by Adam Driver, according to JediNews.

"Sounds like Adam Driver is not going to play a villain… sort of," wrote the site. "He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him."

The film officially began shooting at the end of last week as J.J. Abrams tweeted out pictures from the set. The movie is currently being filmed in Abu Dhabi and production is expected to continue there until the end of the month.

The cast for the film was also announced a few weeks ago and it includes actors from the original trilogy such as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford along with newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver.
