'Star Wars Episode 7' Trailer News, Update: Promo Video to Debut in Theaters This Thanksgiving Weekend
There have been a lot of talks regarding the purported trailer for J.J. Abram's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." In the previous weeks, reports suggested that Disney has planned to include the first Star Wars trailer in the screening of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies."
Fans could finally get a glimpse of "Star Wars 7" in theaters this coming Thanksgiving week, particularly on Friday.At first, the report was taken with a grain of salt but then, the official Bad Robot Twitter account confirmed the news.
"THANKSGIVING," was the caption of the tweet which was also accompanied with a picture.
"A TINY* peek at what we're working on – this Friday in select theaters. Hope you enjoy, and have a most excellent thanksgiving!" the caption read. "Signed, JJ."
The information also identifies the running time for the trailer which is 88 seconds, which further suggested that fans will have to expect a teaser instead of a full trailer.
News then spread like wildfire and the post was retweeted several times including on the StarWars.com account.
The site dedicated to the movie then reported a complete list of all the 30 theaters that will be playing the teaser in North America. The list includes AMC theater in Los Angeles, Calif., Cinemark in San Jose, Calif., Regal in Atlanta, Georgia, Carmike in Philadelphia and many more others.
ScreenCrush further updated their report to enlist nine additional participating theaters in California, Illinois, New York, Texas, Georgia, and several other states.
