'Star Wars Episode VII' Cast Rumors, News: Movie to Feature Raw Martial Arts Combat Scenes?

Apparently, it seems like there would be more than just lightsaber fencing and shooting scenes that fans should look out for in the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as these recent casting rumors suggested.

A report from CinemaBlend.com pointed out the casting of three martial arts actors from the film "The Raid 2" namely Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, and Cecep Arif Rahman for Episode VII. The three actors were known for their bloody hand to hand combat encounters in the film.

It is still not known as to who the three actors will be portraying and whether they'll be joining the "Dark Side or the Light Side of the Force." It is also found out that one of trio is expected to perish on screen. This goes to say that the scenes they are making or have made must have been about a life and death situation.

The Wrap wrote in their report that another member of the "Raid" stunt team was reported to have participated in a secret shooting session. The identity of the alleged cast wasn't revealed, however.

As convincing as these rumors sound to be, fans are still reminded that until it is officially confirmed, these tidbits of information should be taken with a grain of salt.

Cast member Oscar Isaac has been previously interviewed Yahoo! Movies saying that these leaks could be "more far off-base."

"I can't speak for the cast and crew, I can just speak for myself, but for me I thought, Don't you want to wait so you can get the real thing?" the actor told Yahoo! "But it creates excitement for it. I don't think these little leaks necessarily ruined watching the trailer. And also, the [plot theories] that get that formulated based on these things — they couldn't be more far off-base."

The truth will eventually unravel when "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" hits the big screens on Dec. 18.
