'Star Wars: Episode VIII' Spoilers: Mark Hamill Begs Fans to Avoid 'The Last Jedi' Comics

Actor Later Clarifies Warning Was a Joke

"Star Wars" actor Mark Hamill recently asked fans to avoid a vintage "The Last Jedi" comic book to keep them from getting a spoiler of the upcoming movie's events. However, he later on clarified his warning was a joke.

In what was supposedly an attempt to save fans from getting a spoiler on the events to happen in "Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi," Hamill discouraged them from reading a same title vintage comic book, at least, until they see the movie.

Hamill plays one of the major, pioneer roles in the vast world of "Star Wars" as the greatest Jedi in the galaxy, Luke Skywalker.

A Twitter page that appeared to be managed by a fan recently shared the cover image of a vintage "The Last Jedi" comic book with the caption: "@HamillHimself A long time ago...in a @Marvel comic-book #TheLastJedi."

The Twitter page itself had 247 followers, while the said tweet had only been shared in the same platform 61 times, as of this writing.

However, it is definitely getting a lot of attention now that Hamill shared it with a message of his own.

Hamill shared the social media post's link and told fans: "I'm begging you! For your own good – DO NOT READ this spoiler-laden comic book before Friday, December 15th, 2017 You'll thank me later #Wait4VIII."

As mentioned, the original post that shared the classic "The Last Jedi" comic book did not gain much social media interaction. However, the insistence in the tone of Hamill's tweet ignited curiosity among a number of fans.

Some time later, Hamill posted a comment on his post to clarify that he was just joking about the entire spoiler concern.
