Steam Sale February 2017 Price News: 'Final Fantasy' and More Square Enix Titles Get Big Price Drops

Steam is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the "Final Fantasy" franchise by dropping the prices of some selected games by 50 percent. Added to that, there are more Square Enix games that are also on sale with a big discount this weekend.

In the "Final Fantasy"-dedicated Steam page, the titles "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD," "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII," "Final Fantasy XIII-2," "Final Fantasy XIII," "Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster," "Final Fantasy IX," "Final Fantasy VIII" and "Final Fantasy VII" are all up for grabs with a 50 percent discount. The offer ends on Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. EST.

Other than the "Final Fantasy" titles, Square Enix is in the mood to treat PC gamers with more price cuts - with some of the prices reduced by as much as 75 percent.

The 20th year celebration edition of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is for sale with a 60 percent discount while "Hitman," "Dragon Quest Heroes," and "Lara Croft Go" get 50 percent off the original price. There is a whopping 75 percent price slash on "Just Cause 3" and "Life is Strange Complete Season Episodes 1-5."

"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's" price drops by 70 percent while a player who will purchase "I Am Setsuna" gets a 40 percent discount. The special sale offers for all the mentioned Square Enix titles expire the same time as that of the "Final Fantasy" 30th Anniversary Celebration sale.

Up to Monday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. EST, the "Dawn of War" gets a price cut by 80 percent while players can also get the entire "Company of Heroes" collection with a 75 percent discount.

The package that includes the main title "Total War: WARHAMMER" plus its downloadable contents is priced with a 33 percent discount while the copy of the complete "Total War Grand Master Collection" gets a price drop by 75 percent. Both offers expire on Feb. 20.
